Why do custom songs cost so much from human artists?
A human songwriter and performer spends hours on each commission: reading your story, writing lyrics, recording and mixing. That time is the price. Most services also deliver in several days, because each artist can only work on so many songs at once.
For reference, the entry prices we recorded on 2026-10-03 were:
- Songlorious, 1-minute song: $95 (compared with our Basic plan at $9).
- Songfinch, lowest-priced artist: $179 (compared with our Select plan at $17).
- Songfinch, typical artist (song only, video extra): $249 (compared with our Gift plan at $24).
Why are AI-sung custom songs so much cheaper?
The writing and singing are done by software, so there is no studio time or artist schedule to pay for. That is also why a finished song usually arrives in minutes, not days. The trade-off is that the voice is an AI singer, not a person, and we say so on every song.
If you want a human performance, a human artist is the right choice and worth the price. If you want something personal, fast and affordable, AI-sung songs are built for that.
What is included at each price?
Every plan includes a custom 2-3 minute song, a private gift page with karaoke-style lyrics, and an MP3 with lyrics and cover built in. Basic is one take with free fixes for our mistakes. Select adds a second take to choose from and 1 paid revision. Gift adds a photo lyric video, 2 revisions and a printable QR gift card.
Fixing something we got wrong, such as a mispronounced name, is always free and never uses a revision.
Are there hidden costs?
No subscription and no per-play fees. You pay once, in US dollars, through Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record and handles sales tax. Optional add-ons are priced on the pricing page before you pay.
If we miss the delivery promise or cannot make a song that passes our quality check, you get a full refund automatically.
How do I pick the right plan?
Choose Basic if you only want the song. Choose Select if you want to compare two takes and have one change included. Choose Gift if you are giving it as a gift and want the lyric video and QR card.
