Privacy Policy

What we collect

Story details you type: names, relationship, memories, messages and style notes. Optional uploads: photos and a recording of how a name is pronounced.

Your email address, the recipient's email if you ask us to deliver the gift, and your order history. Payment details are handled by Paddle; we never see your card number.

Basic technical data: a hashed IP address for abuse prevention and rate limiting, and anonymous usage events to improve the product. We do not use advertising trackers.

How we use it

To write, generate, check and deliver your song; to send emails about your preview and order; to provide support; and, only if you opt in, to send occasional offers.

Your story is processed by AI models running on Cloudflare (Workers AI and AI Gateway) and by Runware for music and image generation. These providers process data on our behalf and may not use it for their own purposes.

Sharing

Your gift page is private and only reachable by its secret link. You can turn the link off at any time. We do not sell personal data.

Songs only appear in our public showcase if you explicitly agree after delivery.

Retention and deletion

Drafts that never become an order are deleted after 90 days. Orders are kept so you can access your song, until you delete them.

Sign in on 'My songs' and choose 'Delete my data' to erase your stories, songs, uploads and email history at once. Paddle keeps transaction records as required by tax law.

Your rights

Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR or CCPA) you can access, correct, export or delete your data, and object to processing. Email support@songofours.com and we will respond within 30 days.

Children

Song of Ours is not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data. Songs can be made for children by adults.
